Amramp to showcase accessibility products at PACE, the premier senior care program conference

PACE (Programs of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is an organization that is aligned with Amramp’s own mission as a company: to provide mobility solutions and full accessibility to all, including the senior population in America and Canada, which is why we wouldn’t miss this year’s annual PACE Conference, taking place October 26th-29th at the Hilton Bayfront in San Diego, California.

PACE’s programs “support, maintain, safeguard, and promote the provision of quality, comprehensive and cost-effective health care services for frail older adults,” so it’s easy to see how Amramp’s weatherproof wheelchair ramps and other accessibility products could be a tremendous asset to those using PACE for their elder care needs. Amramp is proud to be hosting a booth at the conference’s vendor EXPO, where we will educate conference attendees about the benefits of and synergy between Amramp mobility solutions and PACE senior care programs. Amramp will be one of more than 30 companies exhibiting at the 2014 conference.

2014 is special in that it marks 20 years for the PACE organization, which boasts 100+ programs in more than 30 states (and growing). Along with celebrating, the 2014 conference will offer educational opportunities to keep attendees up-to-speed on new changes in the evolving elder care marketplace, such as regulations, state government priorities, technology, and consumer preferences. This knowledge will be imparted via almost 60 concurrent education sessions and 12 poster presentations. An open learning format will encourage discussion and idea-sharing between guests. Attendees can look forward to cutting-edge talks on numerous topics, including these:

  • The Aging of Addictions: Addressing Addiction Treatment in PACE
  • Ready to Serve? The Invisible LGBT Older Adult
  • The PACE Model Works: Improving the Bottom Line through Best Practices in Care
  • Empowering Wellness: Interdisciplinary Approach to Chronic Pain Management for Multicultural Population of Older Adults
  • Self-Directed/Self-Selected Personal Care in PACE, and
  • Caring for the Caregiver: A Caregiver Support Program.

For the keynote speech, leadership expert Simon T. Bailey will teach listeners how to “shift your brilliance” and maximize your potential for success. Pre-conference learning opportunities will also be available, including:

  • PACE Basics
  • Intake/Marketing
  • Primary Care Symposium
  • Quality Improvement Symposium, and
  • Nursing Symposium.

One of the most exciting elements of the PACE conference each year is the opportunity to do site visits to local PACE programs. This year, conference-goers are invited to check out two programs operated by St. Paul’s PACE, as well as the opportunity to tour San Diego PACE, which is scheduled to open in 2015.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you at the conference in late October; if you’ll be attending, please stop by Booth #7 and say hello!
